Katie Holmes’ Paycheck Means a Smaller One for Mario Lopez

While I’ve never been a huge fan of Ms. Holmes, I like to think of this as karma coming back to bite Mario in the ass.
In case you haven’t already heard the news, Katie Holmes has finally chosen to put Suri down and get back to work. (Seems her Mad Money gig wasn’t satisfying enough for her or anyone who watched it.) But instead of returning to the big screen, Holmes has chosen to make her Broadway debut in All My Sons, a revival of an Arthur Miller play.
So what does Katie’s decision have to do with Lopez? Well, in order to recoup the money for
the actress’ paycheck, the producers had to seek out a venue with more seats. Unfortunately, taking over the Schoenfeld Theater meant an early end to the show currently performing there: A Chorus Line starring Mario Lopez. Needless to say, Lopez is reportedly “pissed” by this news. (Oh, poor baby.)
You can expect lengthy reviews on Holmes’ performance this September.

Considering it’s been five years since he’s done anything not related to Shrek, I guess it wouldn’t be hard to label to Mike Myers as a picky guy. But who knew he had a thing for seltzer?
According to the New York Post, the seemingly-pleasant actor should have had a rider written up before a late-night appearance earlier this week. A Late Night with Conan O’Brien insider claims Myers drove the backstage staffers crazy with his specific demands.
“He sent a team of interns on a wild goose chase for Silk nondairy creamer, Twizzlers and raspberry seltzer,” says the source. But as it turns out, no ordinary seltzer would do. Later, the comedian reportedly sent an intern back out on the streets when he found out his drink was not the proper brand.
Apparently The Love Guru just doesn’t like variety - whether it be with his drinks or his jokes.

Hollywood’s Walk of Fame will welcome twenty-five new additions next year to celebrate the achievements of our favorite celebs…and a few others we barely remember.
Cameron Diaz, Tim Burton, Shakira, Ben Kingsley and the Village People are among those who will soon grace the Walk. Stars for the Walk are picked by virtue of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Committee.
This famed sidewalk currently features more than two thousand stars bearing the names of celebs.

San Francisco Welcomes David Beckham’s Sexy Ad

Last night, the ladies and gents of San Francisco got front row seats to the most appealing thing ever seen at Macy’s.
The Emporio Armani banner - featuring David Beckham in the brand’s underwear - unfurled in front of a large group of gawkers who had no immediate plans to purchase the product…and probably never will. But that’s so nice of Armani to try anyway.

What could possibly be worse than finding out that your boyfriend cheated on you? Finding out that he’s considered People‘s Hottest Bachelor! (Sorry, Karina.)
While I’m certain the magazine selected Mario Lopez long before tales of cheating ways were revealed (that’s if you don’t count Ali Landry’s experience), his inclusion just goes to show that any guy with a dimple can come off as charming.

Jamie Lynn Spears Gives Birth

Residents of McComb, Mississippi probably saw quite quite an unusual sight this morning: a throng of paparazzi trying to get shots of the newest Spears family member.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. today, 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears gave her parents their latest grandchild. The girl, named Maddie Briann, is (thankfully) the first child for Jamie and her fiance, 19-year-old Casey Aldridge.
All the members of Jamie Lynn’s family - including parents Jamie and Lynne, sister Britney and brother Bryan - were in McComb at the time of the delivery. (Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center is located near the clan’s hometown of Kentwood, LA.)
When mom and child are released, they will return with Casey to their new home in Liberty, Miss. Spears and Aldridge, who were engaged back in March, are expected to officially tie the knot sometime soon.

After nearly a year together, E! has confirmed that Paula Abdul is no longer with her restauranteur boyfriend. J.T. Torregiani, who was 13 years younger than the American Idol judge, had been living with Abdul as well.
Just last October, Paula talked to People about wanting to have a baby soon. Though she was keeping her medical options open, she remained cautiously optimistic about her new relationship with Torregiani. “He’s a positive force that has come into my life right now. Where it leads, who knows?”

Yesterday, we told you about the rumors concerning former Dancing with the Stars contestant Mario Lopez. According to a former Hooters calendar model, the Saved By the Bell star had been cheating on his girlfriend for almost a whole year. Well, wouldn’t you know it? Hours later, we got a special treat on Monday’s episode of Chelsea Lately: an appearance from Karina Smirnoff!
While she did not go into specifics, the professional dancer bravely addressed the gossip. Unfortunately, instead of using the forum to rail on her slimy ex (like I would have hoped), she did her best to talk calmly and rationally with Chelsea Handler about the breakup. She did, though, appear to validate the cheating report.

Tila Tequila Credits Herself For Legalization of Gay Marriage

According to loathsome MTV star/personality Tila Tequila, the people of California have her to thank for lifting the ban on gay marriage in the Golden State.
“It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement,” she claimed in an interview.
Yes, because the politicians, lobbyists, and judges involved in lifting the ban are prone to watching a reality show that is so contemptible that contestants are forced to eat pig vaginas to prove their love to a female who blatantly exploits her “bisexuality.”
“Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships]. Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal,” she later elaborated.
Really, Tila? Really? I thought I heard plenty of asinine remarks from Jessica Alba and Katherine Heigl, but this? I’m not sure whether to laugh or feel very sorry for her.
